Queensland’s first Zara to open on the Gold Coast

No longer just a shopping treat on overseas and interstate trips, Spanish-owned clothing retailer Zara is set to open the doors to its first Queensland store next week.

Since its arrival in Australia in 2011, Zara has steadily grown its store numbers throughout the country, while here in Queensland we sat patiently waiting for the retailer to grace us with its presence. After much speculation, the official opening has finally arrived, with the first Queensland store set to open its doors to the public at Robina Town Centre next Thursday September 25 at 9:00 am. The store will take out three shopfronts in the centre, launching with the spring/summer 2014 collections for women, men and children.

If you’re feeling a little disappointed that Zara didn’t choose to launch in Brisbane, fear not – it has been reported that the retail giant will be taking over the old HMV Centre in Queen Street Mall next to Wintergarden. The store is set to be spread out over a 2000-square-metre space, so there will plenty of room for eager shoppers to run past the racks with glee.
