Last week, we compiled five (hopefully) helpful ways to reduce the amount of plastic in your life. If you missed it, you can take a peek here and look, we don't want to rehash all of the grim details but the sad truth is that almost every piece of plastic ever created still exists in some form today. By 2050, reports indicate that the oceans could have more plastic than fish – let that sink in for a moment. Given its widespread use in literally every facet of life, reducing your plastic consumption can feel pretty overwhelming at the start – a feeling that Rachel Sebastian knows all too well. The cost of the box varies depending on what you choose and there’s a minimum of three products per order but otherwise, it works like this – simply choose the base items you want in the box (these can include organic mint toothpaste from Love Beauty Foods, all-natural dental floss coated in vegan-friendly wax or compostable bamboo cotton buds from Brush It On). Then, you select a shampoo bar from Shampoo With A Purpose (which can also double as a face and body wash – multi-tasking, we love to see it!), an all-natural deodorant from Wanderlightly, which aims to neutralise odours rather than stopping your sweat, and finally, a small-batch soap made lovingly by Church Farm in Billinudgel. There’s a little added incentive to buy more to save more – buy three or more items and you’ll get five-percent off your purchase total, six or more and you’ll save 10-percent and 10 or more will get you a 15-percent discount.
