Look, most of us golfing neophytes can't tell the difference between a pitching wedge, a 5-wood and a 4-hybrid, but we all know a putter when we see one. Chalk that up to Holey Moley, Funlab's widely beloved multi-sensory mini-golf concept that has taken Australia by storm. The team has just opened a brand-new Holey Moley location at Westfield Chermside, with 18 unique holes and an retro-inspired bar for post-putt refreshments. Read on to find out what sort of wacky obstacles you can navigate and may the course be with you.

If you like big putts and are unable to lie about it, then there’s a good chance you’ve practiced your short game loads of times at mini golf and bar hybrid Holey Moley Golf Club. Already boasting two Brisbane locations (one in Fortitude Valley and the other in The City) in addition to another pair on the Gold Coast and one on the Sunshine Coast, Holey Moley’s presence is well-and-truly entrenched in the southeast Queensland party scene. Funlab, the brains behind Holey Moley as well as other entertainment concepts such as Strike Bowling, Archie Brothers, and B. Lucky & Sons and the soon-to-open Hijinx Hotel, has expanded its Brisbane putt putt portfolio with a new 350-person venue location at Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre’s Entertainment and Leisure Precinct. Like its sibling locations, Holey Moley Chermside has been kitted out with 18 themed holes, with favourites such as Simpsons Evergreen Terrace and Flintstones Bedrock n Roll available to play alongside four Chermside-exclusive courses Surfs Ups, Dart Board, Moonshot and the Mini Sonic Loophole.

Once you’ve hit a few hole-in-ones, Holey Moley’s Caddyshack bar has got you covered on the refreshments front. Here, guests are served some nostalgia-inducing 80s and 90s theming with their choice of food and drink. The menu includes Cuban toasties, smoked-beetroot Reubens, cheesesteak burgers and margherita pizzas, pork hotdogs and boneless chicken wings, with family-style combos available if you’ve got a brood to feed. As for drinks, the cocktail list is led by a clutch of house signatures like the Rub a Dub Tub (Fireball, triple sec, Red Bull, passionfruit, cranberry and lime), the New Orleans Sour (Southern Comfort, Poor Toms Sydney dry gin, passionfruit, lemon and egg white) and the White Choc Drop (Don Julio Blanco tequila, white chocolate, passionfruit, lemon and egg white), plus classic options, a tight selection of wines, beers and zero-alcohol options.

Holey Moley Golf Club is now open at Westfield Chermside. Head to the Stumble Guide for operating hours and contact details.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
