Bowen Hills’ King Street continued to grow in 2018, with a chic European-inspired eatery Atelier Brasserie settling into the strip. Atelier Brasserie comes from Charlotte Barakat, who has drawn from her love of hospitality and European travels to create “a meeting place for friends and family”. The menu will lend itself to lingering, embracing European cuisine and the style of dining that takes you well into the evening. Bites include saffron and Moreton Bay bug raviole, salty cod croquettes, steak tartare with bone marrow, as well as mains such as stuffed calamari, steak frites, lamb saddle and duck Maryland confit. Rounding out the food offering is some choice charcuterie and cheese, decadent desserts and convenient lunch specials. Behind the bar, Charlotte has cast her eye across Australia and further abroad for Atelier Brasserie’s selection of wines. Drops from New Zealand, France, Spain and Macedonia feature alongside a collection of signature cocktails, up-market first-pour spirits and beers.
