A place for food lovers, Banana Leaf is located on a recently developed corner of busy Wellington Road. Set off the bustling road, the restaurant caters to both those wanting to dine-in or takeaway, plating up traditional Thai favourites as well as modern fusions. Having worked at The Chelsea at The Barracks, the owner-chef has used his experience in Australian and European food preparation to create an interesting take on traditional Thai dishes. The restaurant interior will also give diners plenty to eyeball over their bowl of rich massaman curry, with the walls covered in original posters and pop culture ephemera – up to 35 years in age – of Thai movie stars and musicians.
