The burger is a timeless staple of fast-casual eating. It’s a combination of ingredients perfected over generations to the point where it’s damn hard to improve, but Bill’s Burgers has found a way to make burgers better – by bringing them to you. This mobile food wagon cruises Brisbane’s streets, slinging gourmet burgers made from top-notch ingredients. Bill’s Burgers covers double the distance of most food trucks thanks to having two vehicles at its disposal – a handy funked-up food truck and a newly converted London double-decker bus! This 1969 Leyland Atlantean Double Decker once roamed the streets of London as a passenger bus before being reborn as Australia’s first two-level burger joint on wheels. You may have spotted this gleaming beauty at food events around Brisbane, boasting a full commercial kitchen, service windows and space for beer taps on the first level, and diner-style booth seating and stools up top – covered by a hydraulically operated roof that raises when in use. Bill’s Burgers offers a sensational menu constructed out of premium ingredients sourced from quality suppliers, including the Son of Bill burger (stuffed with a hand-pressed grass-fed wagyu beef grilled-meat patty), Buffalo Bill (12-hour hickory-smoked wagyu beef brisket), Bill’s Chick (lean chicken breast coated in a crispy golden panko crumb) and the Vegeta-Bill (truffle butter-grilled field mushroom and Meredith goats feta). Both vehicles are available for private hire, with each equipped with a sound system with external speakers. Check out Bill’s Burger’s social-media pages for locations.
