Taking its name from the word meaning compilation, Coffee Anthology showcases a rotating selection of single origins and blends from the some of the country’s top coffee roasters. Hailed as one of the cafes that helped stir interest in specialty coffee, its multi-roaster showcase continually helps platform and showcase beans from boutique Australian roasters. In October 2021 Coffee Anthology closed its Margaret Street cafe in anticipation of a move around the corner to Charlotte Street, where it relaunched in February 2022 as part of Inter/Section – a brand-new laneway hub connecting Mary and Charlotte Streets. Here, the team continues to serve specialty pours from its two coffee machines, with seating for 120 guests running the length of Inter/Section past two central retail spaces towards a second coffee counter at the opposite end.
