During the day the space is bright and airy, with open window seating and cool breezes. When evening descends, Cru Bar & Cellar transforms into a dimly lit bar with a crystal chandelier and candlelight casting warm flickers throughout the space. The venue received a significant refurbishment in 2024, upgrading the kitchen and bar, adding new plush green-velvet booths and improving connectivity to the cellar next door. Guests can pop in and snack on sourdough crostini with steak tartare and preserved-truffle cream, tuna tartlets, Mooloolaba prawns with lobster bisque and pork rillette croquettes, or devour mains like char-grilled spatchcock with roasted eggplant, seafood pasta, roasted-onion risotto and steak frites.
