Attention vegan and vegetarian diners (or just about any lover of good food and coffee) – Enoki Coffee & Co. in Stafford Heights is ready to serve. This eatery and coffee spot – owned and operated by dynamic duo Léné Ritter and Chris Allen – is taking an eco-friendly, ethical and inclusive approach to its offering and atmosphere, promising a ‘come as you are’ approachability matched by a menu of eats featuring something for everyone. Situated in the midst of a shopping strip in the heart of Stafford Heights, the cafe boasts a bright interior featuring subway tiling, VJ panelling, greenery, local artwork and a mint-green and pink colour scheme – with interior and exterior seating offering space for 30. The menu is flexible and caters to those with small and large appetites. One of the most noticeable features of the menu is the ability to order a half serve of nearly every dish on the menu at 25 percent off the price – perfect for those that don’t have huge appetites or are simply after a lighter bite. Those that like to build their own brekkie from scratch can opt to do so with the Make It You, but inventive all-day options like the Rose Waffle Benedict (house made potato and rosemary waffle, poached eggs, mushrooms, house hollandaise and sauteed kale), Enoki Omelette (enoki mushrooms, spring onion, tomato relish and fried shallots), Chocolate Goodness (chocolate crumpets with vegan butterscotch, coconut ice-cream, seasonal fruit, honeycomb and chocolate syrup) and the Tofu Brito Bowl (gourmet mushrooms, tofu, chilli paste and sesame oil) showcase a savvy ingenuity from the kitchen team. Two kinds of bagels (a crowd-pleasing holdover from Enoki’s cabinet-only lockdown debut), and vegan pastries from Bardon’s French Tarts will suitably satiate stomach grumbles if you need to munch on the move. The Enoki crew has tabbed Semi-Pro Coffee and Almanac Coffee as the supplier of its house blend and single origins, respectively (milk substitutes will be supplied by The Alternative Dairy Co), while HRVST ST juices, iced mochas and iced chocolates will also feature.
