Famed dessert outfit Gelato Messina added to its family in 2019, opening a second Brisbane location off James Street. Gelato Messina has brought a Palm Springs aesthetic to the Richards and Spence-designed precinct near The Calile Hotel, tucked in next to Jocelyn’s Provisions space on Ada Lane. The gelateria’s signature and rotating experimental flavours are available, kept cool in Messina’s newfangled gelato cabinets (the second location in the country to have them), which eschew the prototypically mounded piles of gelato in favour of chic sunken tubs. Gelato, sorbet, shakes and cakes are available, with the full range of signature and rotating flavours sure to delight your sweet tooth.
