Hey Chica! is a Latin American-inspired social club, owned and operated by Hallmark Group – the crew behind nightlife icons Lefty’s Music Hall, Retro’s Cocktail Lounge and Finn McCool’s. Drawing inspiration from Latin America, Hey Chica! has injected some vibrant neighbourhood-street-party vibes straight to the heart of Brunswick Street Mall. The interior boasts vibrant charm with a kaleidoscope of colour courtesy of some vivid decor and ambient lighting, with DJs (accompanied by live trumpets, bongos and percussion) creating a scintillating atmosphere from open to close. Cocktails are a big focus at Hey Chica!, with beverage list stand-outs including the Zacapa rum old fashioned, the Smokey Cuban (featuring Joven Mezcal and cinnamon), the Havana Colada, watermelon-and-basil sours, frosè, and, of course, mojitos. Hey Chica!’s food menu showcases an array of similarly bold Latin American-inspired flavours across a range of simple tapas (pork belly bites with sofrito mayo, spicy beef empanadas, chilli prawn lime skewers and croqueta de jamon) and heartier eats (striploin, nachos, Cuban sandwiches and Cuban bowls loaded with black beans, charred corn, plantain chips and salsa).
