As the Queen Street Mall’s oldest restaurant, Jimmy’s on the Mall opened when the pedestrian strip was first developed back in 1982. Boasting a prime location smack-bang in the middle of the mall, the bar and restaurant has offered 24-hour service seven days a week for more than three decades. The restaurant benefitted from a major $5 million renovation in late 2014, merging with Mantle Group sibling venue Cafe East and adding a second level. The venue now boasts two restaurants and two bars over two levels, with retractable roofs and green living walls showcasing the best of Brisbane. Start your day with Byron Bay macadamia muesli and a signature Mantle & Moon coffee, before progressing to grilled barramundi, meaty beef short ribs with whisky barbecue sauce, or a porcini and truffle pesto pizza.
