When it comes to finger-lickin’ chicken, it doesn’t get much better than the fare produced by King of the Wings. One of the very first food trucks to emerge onto the street food scene, King of the Wings quickly earned acclaim for its brand of saucy goodness, even earning an invite to represent Australia in Buffalo, New York at the worlds biggest Buffalo Wing Festival – WINGFEST – in 2016. King of the Wings co-founders Dylan and Katrina Pires dish up five flavours of marinated chicken wings cooked fresh to order, ranging from the signature Southern Spice to the crunchy Portuguese Crumb and honey-sweetened Bee Sting. Brave bellies can test their stamina on The Chillogy fusion of three of the hottest chillies available in Australia, or the new smoky American BBQ boosted by a hit of bourbon. Vegetarians won’t have to go hungry either, with spring rolls and spiced potato samosas on offer. In 2017 the King of the Wings team unveiled plans for a second food truck. The new truck is four times the size of the current King of the Wings set-up, and its unique design will be the first of its kind in Australia. With more size comes more options, with the new truck serving up extra sides including chicken garlic rice and salads, as well as a monthly special.
