The latest brainchild of restauranteur Jamie Webb – responsible for neighbouring Peasant and Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall – Los Villanos Mexican Kitchen dishes up tasty Mexican morsels alongside a killer range of tequilas and cocktails. You can find an array of Mexican snacks, including house-made tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa, street corn with chipotle mayo and queso manchego, and kingfish ceviche verde. For lunch and dinner choose from a selection of tostadas, tacos and quesadillas, as well as platos grande such as Pedro’s Grandmother’s Slow-Cooked Pork Ribs, goat barbecoa with green mole and green rice, and barramundi, clam and sea-vegetable cazuela. Lunch goers can also sample burritos and tortas between 12:00–4:00 pm. Just like any good Mexican restaurant south of the border, Los Villanos gives thirsty patrons the option of more than 30 different types of tequila, as well as mezcal, cocktails, beer, wine and Mexican soda.
