Coorparoo welcomed a new neighbour to Eva Street in 2020 – and she goes by the name of Maude. The cafe took over the space previously occupied by Avé Cucina & Coffee Bar on Eva Street, with local husband-and-wife duo Brandon and Caity Hemmings now at the helm. The couple have worked in the area for almost a decade and seek to add to Coorparoo’s community with personalised service, a family-friendly atmosphere and delicious quality food. Maude was inspired by Brandon and Caity’s love of classic flavours, so you can expect to find plenty on the breakfast and lunch menus, done in a signature Maude style using locally sourced produce. Menu highlights include the smoked-salmon nourish bowl, broccoli fritters with labneh, poached eggs and halloumi and Maude’s version of a croque madame, served alongside Wolff Coffee Roasters coffee.
