Brisbane’s stacked burger scene welcomed a fresh-faced newcomer in 2019 when Milky Lane travelled up the M1 to open its first Brisbane location at Gasworks Plaza. The uber-cool burger, dessert and cocktail joint boasts five locations across New South Wales and one in Surfers Paradise, and the Newstead locale is one of the largest joints yet. Milky Lane’s 300-sqm space is one of five new retailers that have taken pride of place at Gaswork’s new hospitality extension, with the 200-seat venue to featuring indoor and outdoor dining spaces adorned in eye-catching murals from local street artist Sofles. Milky Lane’s menu is constantly changing, but diners can expect around nine burger varieties (including vegan-friendly burgs), decadent desserts, ten heavenly cocktails and more. Like its sibling venues, Milky Lane DJs will be spinning hip-hop tunes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from a custom-built DJ booth.
