Fortitude Valley’s vibrant hub Winn Lane welcomed a newcomer to its midst in early 2017 when No. 5 Cafe opened to the public. This hole-in-the-wall eatery and coffee spot has been given an overhaul in the shape of a new shop frontage boasting some charming rustic features and tidy tiling work. Throughout the day No. 5 Cafe serves hungry stomachs with a range of dishes made fresh in-house from breakfast morsels such as salmon and potato rosti stacks, bacon and egg rolls and housemade granola through to lunch bites including confit duck rolls, chicken salads and nachos. If that isn’t enough to satisfy, the cabinet is always stocked with sandwiches and freshly made salads to grab and take away. Coffee lovers will be pleased to know that No. 5 Cafe pours cups of the excellent Two Seasons java, with frappes and an extensive range of smoothie flavours to come. Also of note, No. 5 Cafe will be opening later in the evening as a dessert bar, with a brilliant range of jarred desserts to dig into.
