The Manhattan Line has a dive-bar feel in an open-walled setting, with the staff fondly referring to it as ‘grunge al fresco’. Many of the walls and surfaces are covered in graffiti, some done by local graf artist Powell, others by staff members, friends and the occasional passer-by. The bar has a distinct urban New York feel, highlighted by its American-inspired hot dog menu and Yankee-themed cocktail list, as well as a strong focus on whisky and beer. Select from the rotating cocktail on tap or the range of bottled cocktails made fresh every week, such as the Manhattan Skyscraper, Clockwork Orange and Cherry Cola. When hunger strikes, dig in to your choice of downtown or uptown dogs – much more than your average hot dogs. Try The Empire State with a beef frankfurt, caramelised onion, crispy bacon, house fries, Jack cheddar cheese, yellow mustard and Manhattan ketchup, or the Chicago Style beef dog topped with celery salt, caramelised onion, red peppers, fresh tomato, American green relish and a pickle spear.
