You know it’s definitely summer once the Ashes Test comes around and the Lord Stanley Hotel is ready for the first coin toss…

With the five-day Magellan Ashes Test returning to Australia for the first time in four years next week, plan your journey to and from the Gabba with free courtesy buses running from the Lord Stanley Hotel.

Yep, with the doors opening at 8:00 am from Thursday 23 and festivities running through to Monday 27 November, you can grab a coffee and bite to eat from the early morning brekky menu (or a beer from 9:00 am), then jump on a complimentary bus to take you to the Gabba.

Courtesy buses will operate from 9:15 am daily, approximately every 15 minutes during peak times, and as required in off peak times, until the end of the match.

There are also daily lunch specials including beef nachos, beer battered flathead & chips and ‘The Best’ steak sandwich, and a pop-up Great Northern beer garden with giant screen to relax in between innings.

The Lord Stanley Hotel is just 800 metres from the Gabba making it a convenient destination for an ice-cold beer or two and a hearty pub meal without the stadium price tag.
