Late February into March is one of the best times to be a beer lover in Brisbane, and kicking off the start of sippin’ season is the Brisbane Beer Fest – Eatons Hill Hotel’s increasingly popular annual celebration of the amber liquid in all its varied splendour. On Saturday February 24, the grass at Eatons Hill Hotel will play host to food trucks, pop-up bars and more from 11:00 am until late. Attendees at the festival will be able to sample beers and ciders from a huge range of local and interstate brewers (looking at you Green Beacon, Slipstream Brewing and Kaiju), while local street-food vendors will be keeping stomachs lined with a range of international flavours.
In addition to the beers on offer, there’s a range of entertainment to keep things lively. Get into the spirit of things by participating in keg stacking competitions, life-size foosball and beer cup relays before partying down to DJs and live entertainment until late. For the first time ever, the festival is setting up a killer adults-only inflatable obstacle course boasting 30 metres of beer-themed fun to tackle. Gather a team of four, dress up in your best themed garb and compete for the festival’s Beer Fest Boot – the prizes on offer are pretty darn impressive.
Ready to knock the froth off a few cold ones? Tickets to Brisbane Beer Fest are available through the Eatons Hill Hotel website.
