Get ready to get your giggle on – on weekdays from Friday February 21 to Thursday March 5 between 2:00–3:00 pm, participating cafes will be giving the first 100 visitors a free coffee while some of comedy’s best local and international talent will provide the lighthearted laughs courtesy of of Brisbane Comedy Festival. On Friday February 21, head to Aquila Coffee on Eagle Street to catch Taboo’s Harley Breen, while Chris Ryan will be making people chortle at Botero House on Tuesday February 25 and funnyman Zack Byer will take over Brew on Wednesday February 26. Dusty Rich is set to bring his quick wit and an improvisational style to Felix For Goodness on Thursday February 27, whilst Black Comedy writer Craig Quartermaine will be heading to John Mills Himself on Monday March 2 and Strauss on Monday March 4.
The caffeine-joints-turned-makeshift-comedy-clubs experience will also see the likes of Big Fork Theatre at Bean and Morning News Cafe, The Stevenson Experience at Frankie and George and Mark Lombard and the Brisburned team will tickle funny bones at The Single Guys Coffee Co. If you can’t make it to your local for a quick stand-up sesh, these jokesters will be performing their full shows at the festival from Friday February 21 to Sunday March 22.
