Get your specialty coffee fix at U&I Espresso

Whether you have a penchant for a single-origin filter coffee, or prefer the full-bodied flavour of a strong espresso, Ashgrove favourite U&I espresso will have your coffee cravings covered.

Developing his appreciation working with a boutique roaster, U&I owner Sacha Muchall really knows his coffee. Serving up beans from local roasters Dramanti, you’ll find house-blend 19-20-20 running through the grinder at any time – a medium-bodied three-bean roast, with hints of blueberry, apple and tropical fruits, giving it a slightly acidic yet sweet finish. The house-blend beans change seasonally to maintain freshness and quality, ensuring you won’t be sipping on a batch of once-frozen coffee beans.

If filter coffee is more your style, take your pick from Aeropress, cold drip, V60, or the Kalita Wave pourover system. Due to it’s careful yet time-consuming process, cold drip is only on offer once a week until sold out, but an iced Aeropress will do the trick if you miss out. Filter beans are usually single-origin, changing each week or fortnight depending on supply. This week U&I are serving up Dramanti’s special summer blend, Sweet Sweet Maria, which combines Columbian and Sumatran single origins. And if you’re not in the mood for a coffee, you can always sample a homemade honey-infused chai or fresh lemon-and-lime iced tea.
