The Tweed Shire just revealed a brand new foodie festival that's set to showcase the culinary chops of our neighbouring regions. From October 30 to November 3, Savour The Tweed will shine a light on the premier chefs, distillers, brewers, cheesemakers, farmers and storytellers just south of the border. Keep reading to find out more …

Beyond Tweed’s beaches and bushland, the area is home to an exciting array of award-winning food and drink destinations who are joining forces for a new festival experience. Savour The Tweed will pay homage to the local businesses which have put Tweed on the country’s culinary map – with a program co-curated by Tweed-based chef Christine Manfield and local food advocate Amy Colli.

“The Tweed’s growing profile as one of Australia’s leading culinary destinations is testament to the creative vision and hard work of the region’s chefs, restaurateurs, growers, distillers, brewers, food producers and First Nations talent who will all feature throughout the event program,” shares Christine.

The inaugural five-day festival will include 20 events from a First Nations welcome dinner and farm-to-fork menus to ethical farm tours. While locals are set to take the lead, organisers have teased the addition of visiting chefs as well. The full program is still being kept under wraps, but so far, you can expect the likes of Pipit, Farm and Co, Potager and Husk Farm Distillery to all be getting in on the action.
