Queensland-first flagships announced for The Calile Hotel’s boutique offering

Just when you thought James Street couldn’t get any more chic, along comes an announcement that will cement the promenade’s reputation as Brisbane’s high street. Highly anticipated boutique hotel The Calile Hotel has revealed the fashion labels that will be calling its ground-floor retail precinct home, with some of Australia’s most acclaimed outfitters set to open flagship stores this spring.

Since The Calile Hotel development was first announced, much speculation has circled around what retailers would complement the boutique accomodation. Today, Wednesday May 2, the hotel has revealed some of Australia’s most sought-after labels will be opening their Queensland flagship stores in the precinct, joining James Street’s carefully curated line-up of independent boutiques. Innovative designer Dion Lee, organic cotton outfitter bassike, luxe linen clothier Venroy, flourishing label Bec + Bridge and Dutch lingerie line Love Stories will all be moving into The Calile Hotel’s ground-floor tenancies, opening in time for the hotel’s launch in spring this year.

In addition to the newcomers, established James Street retailers Calexico Man, Wolfe & Ordnance, Andronis Fine Jewellery and Mister Zimi will be relocating to The Calile Hotel’s retail spaces. The precinct will occupy an architecturally designed double-height space, which will follow the building’s striking aesthetic designed by Richards & Spence, framed – in true James Street style – by hanging gardens. Look out for more announcements surrounding The Calile Hotel in the coming months.
