Forth over Stones Corner’s new saloon Crafty Fox Alehouse & Kitchen

Thirsty locals of Brisbane’s inner south take note – the team behind Chermside’s craft-beer dispensary Tapworks Bar & Grill has brought its brand of hopped-up hospitality to Logan Road. Crafty Fox Alehouse & Kitchen has turned on the taps at its new watering hole, pouring a choice selection of locally brewed suds while also dishing out a menu of quintessential bar bites.

Stones Corner’s Logan Road strip has become an underrated haven for lovers of quality craft beer. Between the Stones Corner Hotel, The Bent Elbow and newcomer Crafty Fox Alehouse & Kitchen, the corner boasts a trio of handy hideaways in which to sip. Crafty Fox Ale House occupies the rustic industrial tenancy once occupied by the Yard Bird crew – a space that proved perfect for a streamlined quick-service outlet where the beers are cold and the vibes are on point. The Crafty Fox crew aim to stock a beer for everyone, and they’re not afraid to give everyone a go. Both mainstream and offbeat brews are available off tap and in the fridge, with a predominantly local and Australian selection encompassing the small-batch brewers and the big players alike. The bar currently offers 12 taps to choose from, but another six are on the way to increase the pourable selection to include cider and alcoholic ginger beers.

While both Crafty Fox and Tapworks offer a comprehensive selection of beverages to sip on, the Stones Corner outlet differentiates itself from its cousins by offering a more streamlined menu of drinking food. A selection of small bites encompasses the likes of duck spring rolls, crunchy chicken bites, coconut prawns, crumbed bocconcini bites and four kinds of chicken wings. Bigger bites include nachos, chicken parmies, fish and chips, pizzas and ten burger varieties. These handfuls offer flavours a bit different from the norm, with chilli beef burgers, truffle beef burger and the sizeable tower burger giving you something unique to chew on. The Crafty Fox Ale House kitchen will also be offering food deals and new beers worth trying on the regular – be sure to check back often.
