West Village to gain Brisbane’s first neuroarchitecture residential building, Altura

Neuroarchitecture is the visionary union of two very different disciplines – neuroscience and architecture. The merging of the two can deliver buildings and spaces that put an emphasis on wellbeing and create healthier living environments. Brisbane is set to gain its first neuroarchitecture residential building in the form of Altura, an awe-inspiring 22-storey building coming to West Village. Read on to find out about this innovative project ...

Designed in a dreamy collaboration between Smart Design Studio, Nettleontribe, Carr and RPS Group and helmed by developing group Sekisui House Australia, Altura is an example of a spectacular outcome when a group of forward-thinking folks put their minds together. The 170-million-dollar building will deliver more than 150 luxury apartments to the heart of West Village, and will integrate an elevated design approach that combines neuroarchitecture and biophilic design elements to promote mental and physical wellness. This includes lush gardens, a sub-tropical-inspired facade and a suite of residences ranging from classic to premium and platinum – the latter of which will be configured as top-level sky homes featuring swooping city views.

Altura will offer residents exclusive access to a rooftop wellness regeneration zone, which will boast a heated infinity lap pool, magnesium spa, sauna, extensive cooking facilities and a sunken fire pit. The building will also feature a library, a resident’s dining room, cinema rooms and a communal workspace area complete with productivity pods. Plus, residents will be able to participate in weekly rooftop yoga and tai-chi classes and will have exclusive access to an assembly of electric bikes, all the while having West Village’s top-notch dining and entertainment facilities at their fingertips. The 22-storey Altura tower will begin construction later this year. Prices for one-bedroom apartments within the first residential release start from $465,000 whilst two-bedroom apartments start from $673,000. To learn more about the breathtaking project, hop over to the Altura West Village website
