Designed by ERA Architects and built by Future Fitouts, the new-look Brisbane MINI Garage showroom is a slick and inviting space with a focus on the essentials, emphasising the brand’s new minimalist direction. Sustainability is at the forefront of the space’s new design, which is laden with lush foliage and boasts an eye-catching feature wall created from recyclable materials. The space is adorned with Australian-made furniture that feature green-tag-certified laminates, further spotlighting its sustainability efforts. Customers will also be able to browse the MINI Electric models, which melds MINI’s iconic design with revolutionary electric-vehicle technology.
The makeover marks the beginning of the Brisbane BMW and Brisbane MINI Garage site renovation. Once completed, the site will boast renewable energy and storage features, water recycling, green areas and a further 18 charging points for electric vehicles. Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors Australia Matthew Wiesner says the renovation reflects the sustainable future that both MINI and the automotive industry is currently driving towards. “It’s an exciting milestone for Brisbane MINI Garage and a step towards our sustainability and electrification strategy, not only for the MINI brand but for Sime Darby Motors Australia. The new showroom is a modern space for our creative customers to express themselves and build their dream MINI.”
