Come 2024, Brisbane will boast its very own Mövenpick hotel thanks to a union between international hotel brand Accor and private development group Keylin. The 96-room hotel, which will sit pretty at 447 Gregory Terrace in Spring Hill, is the third Mövenpick Hotel in Australia – the others residing in Hobart and Melbourne – and the first Mövenpick Hotel in Queensland. Cascading greenery will adorn the facade of the Art Deco-inspired 15-storey hotel, which has been designed by South East Queensland design studio MAS Architecture Studio. Inside, guests will be greeted with breathtaking Art Deco-inspired interiors by international design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, including a grand two-storey foyer with marble columns and terrazzo flooring.
The hotel will also include a restaurant, multiple bars, a 25-metre swimming pool, a fitness centre, conference facilities with capacity for more than 100 guests and an assortment of other Mövenpick’s signature offerings. Perhaps the most important offering (and definitely the most delicious), is the hotel’s daily chocolate hour, an afternoon tasting experience where guests will be able to sate their sweet tooth with Mövenpick chocolate and mouth-watering treats such as eclairs, brownies, truffles and chocolate fountains.
The Mövenpick Hotel Brisbane in Spring Hill will open in 2024. As always, keep an eye out on The Weekend Edition for further details closer to the opening date.
