When product designer Matt Di Costa recruited friend Chris Walker to make a concrete trough sink for his home, little did they know that the process would open up a whole new world for them and their design aspirations. Noticing that no homewares or furniture companies were taking concrete seriously, Matt and Chris created Nood Co – a solution-based company that focuses on the uses of concrete, making it more interesting, transportable and appealing to the eye. Nood Co has addressed the issues surrounding concrete, removing undesirable qualities such as bulk, weight and drabness to offer products that are unique and stylish.

After two years of experimentation with the assistance of chemists, Matt and Chris honed in on a unique manufacturing process (which is kept under wraps) that helped create the light and colourful range of concrete goods currently available.
