Phuket bound? Book in sun-soaked days aboard brand-new floating beach club, YONA

If you're planning a Phuket sojourn this year, here's some news that'll get you hyped. The popular holiday haven is gearing up to welcome its first-ever floating beach club – YONA – which is expected to set sail early this year. The state-of-the-art luxury vessel will board up to 500 guests for sun-soaked days spent sipping, snacking and lounging in the sunshine while cruising through Thailand's dreamy, turquoise-hued waters.

Due to open to the public in early 2023 (so, really soon), the spectacular 1,200-sqm YONA will feature a collection of private cabanas, plush daybeds, four bars and a restaurant spread across three palm-tree-lined levels, with a sparkling 22-metre infinity pool as the hero. Guests can waltz aboard YONA to be whisked away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket to enjoy long, sun-kissed days floating in the seas surrounding the island, while a cohort of resident and guest DJs provide never-ending beats on the floating oasis.

YONA’s on-board restaurant is set to weave plenty of fresh seafood into its share-style menu, which is designed to spotlight seasonal produce in support of local fishermen, farmers and producers. It’s all about quality behind the beach club’s multiple bars as well, with top-end cocktails, fine wines and spirits making up the list of sips. The YONA team will also be welcoming private and semi-private events of up to 500 guests, so if you’re contemplating a destination wedding, pop this on your radar!

Keen? Follow YONA on Instagram for very cryptic posts on the official opening date.
