Add a personal (and super cute) touch to your Christmas tree with a hand-decorated Christmas ornament from the kiddies. Until November 24, West Village will be hosting free Christmas Ornament Decorating classes for Creative Kids attendees. As part of the workshop, little ones will receive two ornaments to decorate – one to take home, and one that will be hung on one of West Village’s beautiful Christmas trees. On Wednesday November 29, Opera Queensland will be taking over the precinct for Carols in the Common – a festive program packed with all of your favourite Christmas songs. This year the carols will take place at the Greenhouse rooftop, allowing ticket holders to soak up magical melodies with the Brisbane City skyline as a backdrop.
In late November, West Village will light up (literally) when thousands of cascading lights adorn the Peters Ice Cream Factory. You’ll feel as though you’ve been transported to Santa’s village with the real Christmas trees scattered all over the precinct, creating immaculate festive vibes for all to enjoy. Those who took part in the Christmas Ornament Decorating workshop may even spy their masterpiece dangling from one of the trees, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled! Looking for a place to do your festive feasting and shopping? West Village’s roster of top-tier restaurants are perfect for those silly season events, whether you’re after Japanese eats, an Italian feast with the famiglia, a steak-and-seafood banquet or mouth-watering Greek fare – there’s something for every palate and occasion. Start ticking off your loved one’s wish lists with cute and quirky gifts from the precincts retailers, including Mott & Mulberry and the Nook pop-up shop, taking over the precinct until the end of the year.
