West Village quickly gained a reputation for promoting creative talent, so it makes perfect sense that Erin Lightfoot is the flagship tenant at Laneway WV. Her contemporary Bauhaus-inspired ceramics have been making a splash since her eponymous brand’s launch in 2011, leading to her wares being stocked at boutiques around the country – not to mention featuring in a little old magazine you might know called Vogue. Erin’s distinct style of simple forms, soft colours and geometric patterns across an ever-evolving range of jewellery and homewares has cemented her status as a firm favourite in the Australian maker scene.
The Erin Lightfoot pop-up will launch on Saturday May 12 with a sophisticated afternoon soiree where you can check out the artist’s schmick wares with a glass of complimentary bubbles in hand. Over the course of the pop-up, Erin will be taking up residency in the pop-up studio and creating her work for all to see, meaning you can swing by to see exactly how her pieces are crafted and have a chat about the process. If you fall in love with the ceramics on show, fear not – the studio is also running as a shop so you can purchase Erin’s work on the spot.
The Erin Lightfoot pop-up is running at West Village’s Laneway WV from May 12–27 – for opening hours, head to our Events Guide.
