Ramen Danbo was first launched in 2000 in the Japanese town of Chikushino, before eventually opening more than 35 outposts across the globe from Brooklyn to Brisbane. Famed for its tonkotsu broth, the eatery crafts its soup on-site at each location to guarantee its umami goodness tastes deliciously fresh every time. Now, you’ll be able to grab your ramen and run at the Ramen Danbo in Jacobs Well Road’s Caltex service station. The offshoot offers its patrons the chance to feast on its rich ramen and mouth-watering gyoza through dine-in, takeaway and now, the convenience of its drive-thru.
“We wanted to provide customers with a convenient and efficient way to enjoy delicious ramen on the go and who better than Ramen Danbo to open the first one in Australia?” says manager of operations Ellie Kouchi. “We needed to give our fans more and do something new for ramen as a whole in Australia.”
The abridged drive-thru menu features ten ramen, a number of sides, an array of toppings and plenty of drinks, ready to be ordered from the comfort of your car. Rest assured, you’ll still find Ramen Danbo’s cult-favourite dishes, including the likes of its ever-popular pork classic with signature tonkotsu broth, its spicy tantanmen topped with seasoned BBQ minced pork and bok choy as well as vegetarian and vegan miso-based options. Fortunately, Ramen Danbo carefully packages up its drive-thru dishes, keeping the noodles, soup and toppings separate so that when the time comes, you can just stir together and slurp away.
Ramen Danbo Pimpama is open seven days a week from 11:00 am right up until 10:00 pm.
