New multifaceted sports and entertainment destination Landers Pocket is set to be the result of an exciting partnership between Brisbane Airport, Green Beacon Brewing Company and Golf Central. Green Beacon will run the brewery and distillery, which will complement the 800-person capacity hospitality offering operated by Golf Central.
The name, Landers Pocket, is a historical nod to the market garden that occupied the site of the airport a century ago. Martin Ryan, executive general manager commercial at Brisbane Airport says the development will inject jobs and vibrancy into the Skygate precinct of the airport. “It promises to provide travellers with a unique and memorable destination at BNE, while also becoming a landmark venue for Brisbane residents.”
Richard Shrosbery, the general manager of Teneriffe-born brewery Green Beacon Brewing Company, says, “This announcement is unbelievably exciting for Green Beacon. The new brewery and hospitality venue will ensure we get our award-winning beers into the hands of more beer lovers than ever before. We want to bring people together to connect, talk, laugh and have fun – and we believe this new precinct will enable that.”
Landers Project precinct is predicted to open in early 2025.
