At The Weekend Edition we are all about our fresh produce – we can’t get enough of it. We are huge fans of the goods that come from the Scenic Rim, and make sure to pencil in Eat Local Week each year to ensure that we get our fix of the top-notch nosh on offer. Now in its sixth year, Eat Local Week will host more than 50 foodie events from Saturday June 25 to Sunday July 3. We’re talking about farm tours, cheese and wine tastings, cooking classes and special one-off dinners from excellent chefs from Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
In partnership with Queensland Art Gallery and the Gallery of Modern Art, Eat Local Week will be offering a internship at QAGOMA’s busy kitchen under the supervision of executive chef Josue Lopez. High tea’s, bush tucker tours, degustation dinners and winery talks – Eat Local Week has it all. The jewel in the Eat Local Week crown is the special Winter Harvest Festival on Saturday July 2 at Aratula – a day of activities, competitions, demonstrations and food, food and more food.
