Usually you need to jump on a plane to find an authentic Asian-style hawker market, but ever since 8 Street arrived at Westfield Garden City we’ve been lucky enough to experience it at home. Tucked away in the heart of Garden City, 8 Street is a heaving precinct that is home to numerous street-food stalls and a lively beer garden. Each compact stall offers up a different style of cuisine to try, with plenty of kitchen theatre to entice tastebuds and drum up some belly rumbles. Westfield Garden City’s 8 Street is home to 18 stalls, which serve up the likes of dim sum, spicy Thai curries, Vietnamese soups, Korean bibimbap, Japanese teppanyaki and Chinese-style rolls. An on-site bar stocks a range of beer, cider, wine, Japanese sake and Korean saju – making 8 Street the perfect post-shop destination.
