Huge news for lovers of decadent cakes and salivation-worthy savouries – baked-goods icon Jocelyn Hancock has relocated her Cake & Bake concept to Newstead. Cake & Bake’s original Montague Street location has been a popular providore pitstop ever since it opened in 2015, but a desire to be closer to her home (Jocelyn is a long-time New Farm resident) has prompted the move back over the Brisbane River. The Newstead Cake & Bake location opened in the first week of May in 2019, inhabiting a building on Commercial Road. The new space will boasts a larger shopfront than its West End predecessor, stocking the brand’s full range of sweet and savoury offerings and quality retail products.c
