Quirky cafe Geronomio Jerky makes its passion for America obvious in both its menu and its interiors. Throughout the space is a huge image of the desert covering the back wall, a light fashioned from an old wagonwheel hanging overhead and plenty of shelves to display the lengthy selection of gourmet jerky, for which the cafe is renowned. The meat delicacy here is an award-winning one – at the 2012 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, Geronimo Jerky won seven awards, making it the most awarded in the country. Amongst its unique options include one type made with guarana and another that can claim to be the hottest variety available in the nation. At its Blackwood Street base, the shop handmakes all the jerky out back, while out front in the sunlight you can take a seat and enjoy a coffee (or some chicken wings) at its cafe.
