Locos Kitchen & Bar is the latest Bowen Hills project from Chris McBride, who previously owned neighbouring cafe Bowen Arrow. Seeing a lack of food options in the local area, Chris decided it was time to take the matter into his own hands, creating a space that celebrates all of his favourite things – eating, drinking and music. Chris has teamed up once again with chef Daniel Forbes, who started out with him at Bowen Arrow. The heroes of the menu are burgers, but you can also nosh on fresh salads or crispy fried chicken, as well as an a la carte selection of dishes come evening. Little bites include thick-cut steak fries with barbecue pulled pork, blue cheese sauce and scallions, and be sure to leave room for dessert – think watermelon-elderflower granita and hazelnut coffee ice-cream sandwiches.
