Four Hearts Brewing Company is a small, independent craft beer brewing outfit that has made the jump from manufacturer to distributor with the opening of Pumpyard Bar & Brewing in the heart of Ipswich. With a vision towards creating a warm and welcoming brewpub, the Four Hearts team moved into a heritage-listed building on Limestone Street in Ipswich’s inner-centre. The space features an industrial design theme inspired by the buildings former life as a plumbing and metal workshop, incorporating some shiny new brewery tanks in which Four Hearts brew six varieties of beer ranging from pale ales to imperial stouts. In addition to the brew available off tap, Pumpyard has a tidy menu of bar food that includes mouth-watering options such as beef cheek burgers, soft shell crab souvlaki and beer flavoured ice cream.
