Already a hit on the Gold Coast with its Sanctuary Cove location, French-inspired artisan boulangerie and and salon de thé (tea room) Rise Bakery expanded north in 2023, opening a new location at Portside Wharf in July. Rise can be found in a 75-sqm tenancy near Portside Wharf’s northern entrance, with a chic aesthetic and fit-out accomplished by Clui Design and Lowry Group. Rise boasts an elegant interior with hues of dreamy whites, soft pinks and accents of gold throughout, with an outdoor dining area and champagne bar soon to be added. Rise Bakery’s menu showcases a selection of traditional French classics made fresh daily. Inside the bakery’s cabinet you can expect to find flaky croissants, pain au chocolat, fruit-topped danishes, mille feuille, eclairs and salmon, prosciutto crudo and ham-filled baguettes. Thirsty folk will be able to pair their pastry with a Tavalon tea or a caffeinated sip from Bear Bones Coffee, while those feeling extra fancy will be able to enjoy a crisp glass of champagne.
