Newstead Brewing Co. is one of Brisbane’s longest-running craft beer breweries, having tapped its first kegs back in 2013. From these humble beginnings, Newstead Brewing Co. helped kickstart the city’s now-booming microbrewery scene, and now sits as one of the pre-eminent names in Queensland’s suds-soaked sector. Born inside a 1940s steel warehouse built by Skennars Coaches in the 1940s, Newstead’s first location on Doggett Street has become a hallowed haunt for froth fanatics and fans of great hospitality. In 2017, Newstead Brewing Co. expanded its operations to Milton, opening a production brewery and pub on Castlemaine Street in 2017. Newstead Brewing Co.’s core range of beverages includes six beers and one cider, but the brewery regularly produces seasonal and small-batch collaborative drops that frequently sell out.
