The Weekend Edition - Sleep In. Slow Down. Enjoy.

Party like it’s the summer of ’69 when Bryan Adams hits Sandstone Point

Party like it’s the summer of ’69 when Bryan Adams hits Sandstone Point

When we think of our ideal summer evening, there are too many tempting options to settle on just one. However lounging on a picnic rug by the water, hair tickled by the gentle summer breeze, glass of rosé in hand while Bryan Adams serenades us with ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’? That sits pretty close to the top. Lucky for us the Canadian ballad boss is offering that exact scenario at Sandstone Point Hotel next Tuesday January 9.

There’s no denying that Bryan Adams is somewhat of a god when it comes to big ballads and feel-good rock. His hits often find their way onto our office playlist and for very good reason – the man knows how to produce a certified banger. In celebration of his brand-new best-of album Ultimate, Bryan is heading to Australia with only four very special shows and Queensland is fortunate enough to get two of them at Sandstone Point and the Gold Coast.

Next Tuesday January 9, Bryan will kick off The Ultimate Tour at Sandstone Point Hotel, supported by Thirsty Merc (‘In the Summertime’, anyone?). The singer will take the stage on the grassy hills of the hotel with the Pumicestone Passage and Sandstone Point as his backdrop, with concertgoers encouraged to roll out a rug and settle in for an evening picnic. Bryan will be playing hits from the 21-track Ultimate album, including favourties ‘Summer of ‘69’, ‘Please Forgive Me’, ‘When You’re Gone’ and ‘Run to You’, as well as two new tracks ‘Ultimate Love’ and ‘Please Stay’.

Tickets are still available to Bryan Adams’ The Ultimate Tour – head to our Event Guide for details.
