Fuel up on food and fun at the Caxton Street Festival

While we aren’t going to suggest wearing your stretchy pants out in public, you may want to consider something a bit loose fitting. The Caxton Street Festival is going all out with its food, drink and entertainment offering this year, so be sure to come hungry, come thirsty and, most importantly, come with an appetite for good times.

If you haven’t marked Sunday October 2 with a big red exclamation point, then let me quickly explain why that’s your bad. The Caxton Street Festival is taking over Petrie Terrace for a street party of epic proportions. The area is undergoing some big changes lately with several new venues transforming the strip, so attendees can expect one of the biggest selections of food, beer and wine to date. Eateries will be opening their doors wide to welcome the hungry hordes, while numerous pop-up bars from the likes of Newstead Brewing Co. will keep punters hydrated throughout the event.

As per usual, the Caxton Street Festival has amassed a choice line-up of some of Australia’s best musical acts. Seriously, get a load of this selection – Last Dinosaurs, Urthboy, Stonefield, Cub Sport, Elizabeth Rose, The Creases and Nicky Night Time will be playing tunes all day and night, with more acts and DJs keeping the atmosphere on point. Tickets are still available, but make sure you move your caboose quickly as it’s a safe bet that they will disappear quick smart.
