Folks, the festive season is nearly here, which means it's time to start ticking off our loved one's Christmas wish lists. For the pottery lovers on your gifting list, we suggest checking out West Village's Clayschool Christmas Markets on Saturday December 2. It's here where you'll find the very best clay creations and one-of-a-kind gifts for your loved ones, or maybe even a few things to add to your own personal collection.

Christmas has come early for clay lovers with the return of the Clayschool Christmas Markets on Saturday December 2. Taking over West Village from 4:00–7:00 pm, these clay-centric markets will be located upstairs from The Common in front of Factory 2. This twilight clay and pottery show will showcase the works of students from Clayschool Brisbane, offering festive shoppers the perfect opportunity to get their Christmas gifting done and dusted.

For those not in the know, Clayschool Brisbane is a supportive clay studio where students can learn pottery, wheel techniques, hand-building, mould making, surface effects, skill development, specialist techniques and clay theory. They have held their summer and winter shows at West Village for the past two years, giving the general public the opportunity to gander at their creations and even take home a special handmade something to treasure forever.

If all of this shopping tends to make you a little peckish, why not grab some pre, post or mid-shop snacks at the myriad of mouth-watering nosh spots scattered around West Village. Head next door to the Garden Pavillion to indulge in a flavoursome feast at Ippin Japanese Restaurant or Rich & Rare, or opt for something more casual by grabbing a bite at Cheeky Poke Bar, Betty’s Burgers, Ichiban Sushi or Italian Street Kitchen. Enjoy an authentic Greek meal at Yamas Greek & Drink or savour a selection of the very best modern European and Pan-Asian dishes at Zazu.

Don’t miss out on discovering a diverse collection of locally made quality pottery just in time for Christmas. To learn more about this unique festive market, head to West Village’s website.
