Sample your way around our country’s finest culinary creations at the Good Food & Wine Show

Let’s be honest – tasting something delicious for the first time is up there with one of life’s greatest pleasures. The thrill of finding flavours that really resonate with you is pretty much unparalleled, which is what makes the Good Food & Wine Show the equivalent of Christmas morning for adults. Returning to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from October 25–27, this culinary who’s who brings together a travelling road show of some of the best producers around the country for the pleasure of your tastebuds (and curiosity).

Following some tasty pit-stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth, the Good Food and Wine Show is finally pulling up in our neck of the woods. For three days, BCEC will become a mecca for all things delicious – from booze to cheese and everything in between, hundreds of industry professionals and innovators will be showcasing their wares. This year’s jam-packed program offers some returning favourites alongside never-before-seen vendors, as well as a star-studded program of guests. If you love some celebrity chef action, clear your diary – you can witness demonstrations and sample eats from the likes of superstars Curtis Stone, Matt Moran, Maggie Beer, Miguel Maestre, Alistair McLeod and Matt Golinski amongst a host of other creative wizards.

Of course, the Good Food & Wine Show is about more than just watching the experts at work – it’s a great opportunity to taste your way through hundreds of samples from innovative food retailers. This year’s offering brings together more than 500 wine varieties and more than 200 exhibitors, so you’re guaranteed to walk away with a brand-new favourite. The show is getting a heady dose of southern flavour this year, with Melbourne innovators Truffle Melbourne truffle truck, Melbourne Gin Co and Marionette Liqueurs joining the Brisbane program for the first time. Fromage enthusiasts can delight in the return of Tucker’s Natural Cheese Alley, budding wine masters must check out the Riedel Drinks LabMatso’s Mixology masterclasses are perfect for people who love to get into the spirit, and the Glenfiddich Whisky Wanderer is pulling up for all things peaty (it’s a 1972 vintage Leyland bus converted into a premium whisky lounge on wheels, FYI). This is just the tip of the iceberg – there are so many things to do (and eat) that you’ll want to take your time.

Ready to taste the future of food? You can nab tickets to the Good Food & Wine Show through the official event website.
