It was a sad day for The Weekend Edition team when Gerard’s Bistro announced it would no longer be serving weekend brunch. You can imagine our excitement when we heard the esteemed restaurant was bringing back its morning Middle Eastern fare for one weekend only at this year’s James Street Food & Wine Trail – so much excitement, in fact, that we had to do something to celebrate!
Together with our good friends at Gerard’s Bistro, The Weekend Edition is proud to host a very intimate cocktail brunch banquet on Saturday July 28. The Weekend Edition x Gerard’s Pop-Up Brunch will kick off at 9:30 am, when guests will be escorted into the cosy confines of Gerard’s new private dining room. Our talented pals at west elm will be working their magic on the space to create a dreamy dining setting – and they’ll even be giving away gift vouchers and prizes to some of the lucky guests. Chef Ben Williamson has created a unique share menu especially for our brunch, including dishes never before served at Gerard’s Bistro as a special treat for our guests. Think the likes of foul medames, spiced ground beef with warm hummus, and that renowned freshly baked za’atar manoushe, paired with Middle Eastern-inspired beverages (spiced mimosas, anyone?).
Tickets are $35 and limited – and trust us when we say this is one brunch date you won’t want to miss. To secure your spot at this intimate event, call Gerard’s Bistro on 07 3852 3822.
