For those unfamiliar, Down N’ Out is renowned for its next-level American-style burgers – we’re talking juicy wagyu patties with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and secret sauce all passionately placed between a super-shiny bun. There’s also the Southern fried-chicken thigh with fresh shredded lettuce and ranch dressing, while the meat-free bandits can indulge in panko-crumbed mushroom burgers with American cheese and secret sauce. Things are going to be a little crazy on the Gold Coast over the next couple of weeks, so to ensure wait times are as short as possible, Down N’ Out will be bringing a simplified version of its menu for the pop-up. You’ll still get a decent taste though – most of the base menu will be available, including the burger joint’s famous Death Sauce, made from the world’s hottest chillies.
Craft brewers Mountain Goat is also on board for the pop-up, serving a bunch of ice-cold beers, as well as ciders and wines. The Down N’ Out pop-up is located on the corner of Surf Parade and Queensland Avenue in Broadbeach – right near the Festival 2018 Roundabout Stage. The team will be slinging burgers from 1:00 pm to late each day. Bring the wet wipes, things are about to get juicy.
