And the winners are … 2016 EAT/drink Awards announced!

Now that 2016 is over, we relish the opportunity to celebrate all of the coffee haunts, drinking dens and dining destinations that helped craft a truly unique Brisbane food experience throughout the year that was. It was a busy 12 months of openings (and a few heartbreaking closings) in local dining, and we can’t help but be proud of our city’s food culture.

Congratulations to all of the winners and runners up of The Weekend Edition’s 2016 tenth annual EAT/drink Awards! Supported by our friends at UberEATS, this year’s awards feature the institutions, the newcomers and the favourites, with each winner nominated and voted by you, our readers. The 2016 awards saw a few additions, including the Best Institutions across bars, cafes and restaurants – places that have been open and loved by locals for ten years or more. Also new to the awards was a special bonus category – Best Food Porn. This category was voted exclusively on Instagram – voters took a snap of a drool-worthy dish, posted it to Instagram and tagged #TWEFoodPorn.

The full list of winners can be found here!

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
