Spruce up your lunch with the help of Newstead arrival Meet + Greens

Although many of us are currently working from home, our work lunches are still something we need to consider. If you commonly find yourself eating your midday meal al desko, we're sure you'd much rather it be something nutritious and delicious. Gasworks Plaza has recently welcomed Meet + Greens, a chic grab-and-go salad and protein pitstop that is looking to un-refine dining and give locals nourishing restaurant-quality food without the price tag.

Put down the soggy sandwiches and ditch the sad salad – food is meant to be enjoyed, and there’s no joy in a substandard sanga. Meet + Greens is a new quick-service eatery that operates on the ethos that good food is an everyday necessity. The aim behind the concept is to make high-quality food more accessible, removing the fuss and frills in favour of honest eats that will satisfy. Meet + Greens can be found in the heart of Gasworks Plaza, housed in a smart corner tenancy next to Suki that boasts a simple-but-welcoming aesthetic. The eatery arrived at the plaza just before the pandemic struck, but has recently reopened to ensure that those gradually heading back to the office have a reliable option for lunch and dinner.

Snagging some  Meet + Greens goodness is simple – a gleaming salad bar beckons from within, and curious wanderers are encouraged to pop in and have a look at the ever-changing selection of options made fresh from locally sourced ingredients. Those keen to keep it green can load up on a mix of salads, including cauliflower and chickpea, eggplant and Israeli couscous, broccoli and shiitake mushrooms, and vine tomato and fennel. Should you require more fuel to burn, protein can be added to the mix – think charred chicken, wagyu-beef skewers, braised brisket, grilled salmon and barbecue chilli prawns. Sides such as miso pumpkin, house-made falafel and spiced corn with pecorino are available to fill any gaps, and thirst quenchers such as Probiotic Kitchen kombucha, Osun Sparkling and Somersault Soda are also available. Meet + Greens serves all of its grub in compostable packaging, making it easier to take with you and dispose of sensibly.

Meet + Greens is open now! Head to the Stumble Guide for more details.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
